COME AND DISCOVER THE OTHER SIDE OF ALGARVE FROM ALDEIA DA PEDRALVA.

GIVING ITS LOCATION IN THE HEART OF THE SOUTHWEST ALGARVIO NATURAL PARK, THE VILLAGE OF PEDRALVA IS YOUR STARTING POINT TO DISCOVER THE BEST LANDSCAPES AND PLACES THAT ONLY THE PEDESTRIAN WALKS CAN REVEAL.

The Rota Vicentina is part of a network of 750 km of walking trails, more than 1000 km of mountain biking routes, a wide range of Nature, Culture and Wellness activities, and much more related to the sustainable use of this region.

The two major routes are the Historical Way and the   Fishermen's Trail , together with the   Circular routes offer a greater variety and flexibility of routes.

Historical Path

It runs through the main towns and villages, one of which is Aldeia da Pedralva, on a rural itinerary with several centuries of history. Mostly made up of rural paths, it is a classic Grande Rota (GR), with sections of montados, mountains, valleys, rivers and streams, in a journey through time, local culture and nature trails.

Fishermen's Trail

Always by the sea, follow the paths used by the locals to access the beaches and fishing grounds.

It is a single track that can only be walked on foot, along the cliffs, with a lot of sand and therefore more physically demanding. A challenge to permanent contact with nature.

If you are looking to start this adventure you can start on the Circular Routes.

There are short journeys starting and ending in the same place, so that it is even easier to discover the pleasure of walking in southwest Portugal without complications.

We can help you organize your TREKKING & HIKING route along the Rota Vicentina.
